MacLean Engineering Expands Operations in Mexico with Acquisition of New Manufacturing Facility
Querétaro, Mexico – 21 April, 2026 — MacLean Engineering is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new 72,000-square-foot (7,000-square-meter) industrial facility within its existing industrial park in Querétaro, Mexico. Located adjacent to MacLean’s current operations, the new site will support the continued expansion of the company’s manufacturing and service capabilities in the region.
This addition marks another important milestone in MacLean’s global growth strategy. Following recent facility expansions across Ontario and Quebec, this investment underscores MacLean’s long-term commitment to increasing capacity across its manufacturing and service operations. The expansion positions the company to better meet evolving customer needs with enhanced speed, efficiency, and reliability.
The new facility will provide additional space and flexibility to support increased production volumes, expanded service offerings, and ongoing innovation—while maintaining the high standards of quality and performance that customers expect from MacLean Engineering.
“This expansion strengthens our ability to support customers throughout Mexico and beyond,” said Tony Caron, VP of Global Sales. “By investing in additional infrastructure, we are reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and long-term partnership with the mining industry.”
“MacLean has seen significant growth in international markets,” added Kevin MacLean, CEO. “The factory expansion in Mexico will increase our capacity to reach more customers while showcasing our local manufacturing presence in the region. In 2025, we were honored to receive the distinguished ‘Hecho en México’ label from the Mexican government, certifying that our products are made and manufactured in the country. We are proud to be the first Mining Equipment Manufacturing company to receive this distinction. The quality reflected in our products continues to resonate with customers in Mexico and around the world.”
The “Hecho en México” designation is an official mark of origin certifying that a product has been made, manufactured, or assembled in Mexico. Established in 1978 and authorized by the Ministry of Economy, the label represents quality, national pride, economic contribution, and job creation. It serves as a symbol of cultural identity and craftsmanship, helping build consumer trust in products made by Mexican hands.
MacLean Engineering is currently developing plans for renovations and upgrades to the facility. Further details, including timelines for the commencement of operations, will be shared as the project progresses. This expansion is also expected to create new employment opportunities, with job postings for MacLean’s Mexican operations available on the company’s website.
