POSITION TITLE: Production Planner
SHIFT: Day Shift
LOCATION: Barrie, Ontario

About the Position: The Production Planner is responsible for prioritizing, scheduling, and releasing work orders to production to ensure timely completion/delivery of components related to both capital and aftermarket requirements, based on the MPS. This position requires the following proficiencies:
- Produce work orders manually as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Daily review planned and released work orders and work center loading daily to ensure work center activities support work order requirements for maximum throughput and level loading.
- Manage the ECN process for material (both purchased and manufactured) including coordinating disposition and containment from engineering through to manufacturing in order to satisfy production requirements as set by the MPS for both capital and aftermarket requirements.
- Participate in production planning sessions to ensure meeting of delivery and production targets are met efficiently and cost efficient related to materials responsibilities.
- Participate in year-end inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Identify bottleneck areas of production and report to supervision and management as well as assist with resolutions to ensure work orders are met respective of priorities.
- Demonstrate safety by complying with all company and government safety rules, regulations and procedures.
- Develop and implement plans to decrease manufacturing lead times, decrease costs and waste.
- Promote and participate in Continuous Improvement to meet company objectives.
- Process inquires for expedited orders by providing delivery estimates and feasibility.
- Daily review of reports to resolve production issues
