POSITION TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: North Bay
Salary: $24.25 – $30.95 CAD

About the Position: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of special projects, equipment, building and ground maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely fabrication of special projects, production equipment repairs, jigs, fixtures, devices, shadow boards, visual displays, storage solutions, work stations, etc. as required to support team.
- Timely and cost-effective maintenance, repair, upgrade, and modification of building, grounds, parking lot, and yard. Plumbing, ventilation and general preventative maintenance of all production equipment, tools, mobile equipment, and material handling devices located within or about the facility.
- Advising Facilities Maintenance Supervisor of any operational deviation(s) found.
- Timely execution of maintenance activities as identified by work orders.
- Identification of tools and materials as may be required to execute maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrade and modification materials, including local travel to local suppliers for pickup and transport back to the facility
- Effective communication with team members across all shifts
Qualifications:
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
Experience
- Five (5) + years’ experience working within a facility maintenance or building management role
- Forklift, overhead crane & slinging, scissor lift, fall-arrest, working from heights, LOTO and CMMS experience is an asset
Working Conditions
- Factory setting
- Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, etc.
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
- Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Required to wear PPE on shop floor and outdoor areas at all times
