About the Role:
The Field Service Supervisor – Surface Mining Equipment oversees a team of service professionals in their daily tasks, manages scheduling and dispatching, and ensures the highest quality of customer service. They are also responsible for implementing field service policies and procedures and providing a safe and efficient working environment.
About the Position:
The Field Service Supervisor – Surface Mining Equipment is responsible for supporting new and current products from the Surface Mining Division, providing management support to internal staff and customers. This position requires the following proficiencies:
- Oversee and coordinate service team activities and field technicians
- Develop and implement service policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Manage dispatching and scheduling of service orders
- Train and mentor new staff members
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching as necessary
- Handle customer complaints and ensure issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate with clients regarding services, contracts, and equipment warranties
- Maintain and manage inventory of service parts and tools
- Prepare and present reports on team performance, service orders, and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with sales and support teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
- Continually evaluate and improve field service processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate meetings with external/internal customers
- Be an active member of the MacLean Australia team, working together to grow and improve the company
About You:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing to learn, open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, and must have a positive attitude, along with the following qualifications:
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
- Relevant tertiary Trade Certificate or Degree- Mobile Plant Mechanic (HD Diesel Fitter Earthmoving/Heavy Transport).
- An Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree highly valued
Experience
- Five to ten (5-10) years’ experience with heavy mine equipment essential.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others
- Strong investigation and diagnostic skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
