About the Role:

This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while also nurturing existing client relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the mining industry
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process including market research, opportunity qualification, proposal development, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic sales plans and growth initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of sales targets, objectives and strategies relating to new business / accounts and support of existing sales / service & support network.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales/support forecasts and maintain current record of all sales & support activities including prospects, likelihood of sale, potential future sales opportunities.
  • Identify research and product development opportunities including but not limited to consolidating information from Sales Team and presenting these opportunities to the Product Management Team and/or Engineering Team.
  • Building and maintaining solid customer relationships with key accounts, developing and achieving sales targets, developing new accounts/sales opportunities as well as identifying new product/business opportunities for capital sales and assisting aftermarket sales.
  • As member of Sales Team work closely with internal teams, such as Marketing, Service and Engineering, to increase sales, and provide “above and beyond” service to customers.
  • Oversee and direct all sales activities for both capital sales in assigned territory including but not limited to managing sales of assigned product groups, developing, and achieving sales targets, identifying new sales opportunities, etc.

You Will Possess:

  • Achievement of annual revenue and growth targets
  • Demonstrated sales or business development experience, ideally in mining machines.
  • Ability to travel to remote sites and client offices as required.
  • Accuracy of forecasting and reporting
  • Contribution to cross-functional team collaboration and innovation
  • At least 5 years experience in a business development role
  • A proven track record growing a mining portfolio by winning business and closing sales
  • Must have a genuine interest and very knowledgeable about mining and mining production technology
  • An absolute team player who will build strong relationships internally with the technical and delivery teams as well as externally with the market
