MacLean Engineering is looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Associate to join our growing aftermarket warehouse team in Collingwood, Ontario. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team, supplying aftermarket parts for heavy mobile mining equipment to various customers internationally, and to our other Ontario manufacturing plants. About the Position: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of material and parts while providing professional quality customer service to all internal and external customers. The following proficiencies are required:

  • Accountable for movement of all materials within the warehouse and overall appearance.
  • Safe loading and off-loading of raw materials and finished good from delivery vehicles manually of by using forklift/crane.
  • Read and interpret pick list properly
  • Ensure incoming products are received into applicable systems accurately and outgoing products are packed and shipped appropriately, on-time and traced accordingly in system.
  • Pick orders/parts and pack them according to pick list accurately.
  • Issue required purchased and manufactured parts to sales orders for shipping as applicable.
  • Locate and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all orders
  • Ensure all parts processed by our manufacturing process are properly identified by part number and work order number
  • Ensure documentation accompanies workflow and is handled to completion with correct quantities
  • Ensure production is fully stocked with material and corresponding paperwork
  • Ensure all parts processed are relieved from proper bin location in proper quantity
  • Ensure product is put into the correct stock location
  • Ensure parts are properly secured to skid (strapping, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • Verify all material to ensure that it coincides with proper paperwork.
  • Ship and receive purchased and manufactured parts while ensuring all parts are properly identified by part number and work order number
  • Packing, packaging and labeling containers or parts to properly identify their destination and ensure their protection during shipment.
  • Record all transactions as specified as per In-House Work Instruction
  • Monitor parts and assemblies through our production process and move to in-process storage, the required production process, or receiving/shipping as applicable
  • Able to recognize miss-identified, misplaced or damaged items and pro-actively assist in finding solutions to storage situations
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy (cycle counts)
  • Weekly inspections as assigned
  • Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, safety regulations and cleanliness standards (5-S housekeeping)

About You: The successful candidate must have a positive / open-minded team-attitude with excellent communication and time management skills. Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a high technical aptitude are also required. This position requires some hands-on problem solving (factory and field) along with in-depth analysis using various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics AX. The successful candidate will have a firm understanding of how to approach problems with different audiences and navigate toward the solution strategically. The following qualifications are required:

  • One to Three (1-3) years of related warehouse experience (shipping/receiving, inventory, WIP)
  • Previous Forklift/Reach Truck or Crane Experience
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Must have superior organization skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and adjustments to deadlines with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

This position is for the following shifts:

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday 5:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (4 x 10 hour shifts)

Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (4 x 10 hour shifts)
