Integral to the acknowledged quality of our mining vehicles, we adopt these values in our aftermarket support to give our customers enhanced fleet productivity, reduced downtime, and lower lifecycle costs.
International Distribution Center
Our state-of-the-art international distribution center, adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway and located less than an hour from Toronto’s Lester B. SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS
MacLean’s vehicles/equipment are primarily designed for operator safety and productivity. That is what defines them. “MacLean security” is our first concern. From the design to the manufacture of vehicles/equipment, nothing is more important to us that operators use our vehicles safely and efficiently. MacLean is committed to ensuring safety through operator training and a continuous improvement program, including security upgrades.
Here are the measures designed to ensure the safety of operators:
Locking the tilt function – to protect the operator, when the mast returns to the moving/driving position
Locking the advance movement of the platform – vehicle safety circuit to protect the arched arm
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification for scissor cylinders/stabilizers.

Training for the operator and mechanic
Our expert trainers offer hands-on, distance and real-time training programs, both online and in the classroom. We customize training offerings based on your specific training needs for operators and mechanics. Our goal is to help you develop the in-house skills needed to operate and repair MacLean vehicles/equipment safely and efficiently.
Training using the virtual reality (VR) system
MacLean’s virtual reality training system is compact enough to fit in a standard Pelican travel suitcase, but powerful enough to deliver a fully immersive experience. This training process allows the operator to become familiar with the operation of the vehicle before the practical training, which shortens the learning time on board the vehicle. It also makes it possible to develop knowledge of MacLean equipment, particularly when it comes to simulating safety-related situations and makes it possible to develop training in almost all locations. Our current virtual reality software focuses on the MacLean bolter and we are working to incorporate preoperative tours and full simulations for the MacLean drill and shotcrete truck.
